This role serves as a link between HR functions and technical resources by gathering requirements from functional users to translate their needs to technical parameters to aid in the accurate delivery and implementation of HR technology solutions. A key aspect of the position is partnering with stakeholders to prioritize projects aligned with business strategy and objectives, considering resource and time limitations. The ideal candidate will apply lean methodologies, continuous improvement concepts, and a consultant mindset to drive efficiency, improve processes, and support the strategic goals of HR and the broader organization. The individual in this role will develop a deep understanding of diverse HR and business functions through collaboration to achieve organizational goals.

Key Performance Indicators:

Ensure on-time completion of projects and initiatives

Improve business efficiency and effectiveness by leveraging technology

Manage change through effective leadership, proactive communication, and education of affected users

Drive customer/stakeholder satisfaction through effective communication, expectation-setting, and execution

Principle Duties and Responsibilities:

Interface between functional users and technical resources to gather, translate, and communicate requirements

Work with peers, leaders, and cross-functional partners to prioritize projects and partner with the business to plan around limitations

Analyze HR data to identify trends, gaps, and opportunities for improvement 

Perform ongoing reviews of business processes to identify areas for improvement and develop optimization strategies

Ensure process documentation  is created and kept up to date (SOP’s, job aids, etc.)

Evaluate potential system solutions considering efficacy, level of effort, alternatives, and downstream impacts

Build and maintain project roadmap for supported functions

Lead projects aimed at optimizing HR systems, tools, and procedures

Coordinate testing and validation for technology implementations 

Apply concepts of continuous improvement to existing processes and configuration

Apply lean methodologies to remove wasted steps and create efficiency

Develop reporting (in partnership with HRIS) to support required business process analysis

Assist leaders with managing change by providing guidance and support to ensure successful adoption of new processes and technologies 

Identify inefficiencies and propose solutions to improve HR processes and workflows.

Maintain up-to-date records reflecting changes and improvements.


 

Required Experience:

5+ years of experience in Human Resources, IT, or other functions with transferrable skills

2+ years of experience focused on corporate program management or technology project leadership

2+ years experience in Workday or similar complex cloud-based HR software

1+ years of experience in organizational efficiency and continuous improvement preferred

Ability to balance and prioritize multiple complex projects.

Proficiency in project management and change management practices.

Strong analytical skills and experience with data-driven decision-making.

Extremely attentive to accuracy and detail

Excellent interpersonal, communication, and customer service skills

Communicates effectively with large, multi-level teams, including the ability to speak publicly and deliver presentations to mixed audiences

Able to analyze large amounts of data and translate observations into data-driven recommendations that improve business outcomes

Clearly articulates issues and opportunities to build consensus with stakeholders and buy-in with end users

Proactively thinks about how processes could run more smoothly and constructively challenges the status quo

Able to work independently and autonomously and make appropriate, judicious decisions in the absence of direct supervision

Formal Education, Qualifications, and Training:

Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business Administration, Information Technology, Project Management or related field or equivalent experience

Certification in a recognized continuous improvement or organizational efficiency methodology preferred (Lean Six Sigma, Total Quality Management, Kaizen, etc.)
