The Recruiting/HR Specialist is responsible for meeting all hiring goals for every department by filling open positions with talented and qualified candidates. The Recruiter will be responsible for the full life cycle of the recruiting process. Will perform sourcing and screening of candidates, coordinating the interview process, facilitating offers, and conducting all onboarding processes with selected candidates for hire.
**Essential Job Functions:**
• Will be responsible for all aspects of recruiting union and non-union employees (hourly and salaried) for the Company. This position includes advertising, developing relationships with outside resources, developing hiring strategies and maintaining communications with existing management staff to assist them with their present and future needs.
• The employee is responsible for screening candidates by conducting thorough interviews and pre-employment testing, as required. Will conduct background checks (if needed), prepare offer letters, and conduct all new hire orientations.
• The employee is responsible for maintaining the Open Jobs Listing, internal postings of jobs, advertising for open positions, job fairs and other recruitment strategies.
• Process temporary employee’s timecards.
• Process/track any daily temporary Production workers.
• Process the temp agency invoices weekly.
• Compile orientation packets for new hires.
• The employee is responsible for verifying eligibility for working in the USA.
• Create and file all New Employee Files.
• Process New Hires in Paylocity from Recruiting Module.
• Send union applications to union as necessary.
• Coordinate assignment of lockers and locks in employee restrooms.
• Monitor boxes and communicate Employee Suggestions weekly.
• Prepare, order, distribute and maintain inventory of uniforms.
• Front Desk Coverage as needed; end of day tasks (locking up, coffee, etc.).
• Other duties as required and assigned by the HR Supervisor.
• The employee will serve as a translator for the company for the Hispanic employees if he/she is bilingual.
**Qualifications and Education Requirements**
• Minimum of one (1) year of administrative office experience required.
• Experience working within HR Office required.
• Experience with interviewing and/or onboarding preferred.
• Highly organized with a record of prioritizing multiple projects and meeting deadlines.
• Must handle confidential matters with appropriate discretion.
• Candidate will have strong interpersonal skills, enjoy and create a team environment.
• Able and willing to deliver friendly, courteous, and prompt customer service.
• Able and willing to work cooperatively with other team members.
• Experienced computer user with strong skills using MS Office Programs, e.g. Outlook, Word and Excel.
**Physical Requirements/Working Conditions Physical Requirements:**
• Employee is required to pass a drug and/or alcohol test.
• While performing the job, the employee must move individual fingers and arms independently constantly. This activity is necessary for successful job performance. The employee could NOT perform the job successfully if he/she could not perform this activity.
• While performing the job the employee must be able to stand and walk on a regular basis during shift.
• While performing the job the employee must be able to sit for long periods.
• While performing the job the employee must be able to lift and carry 25lbs occasionally during shift.
• While performing the job the employee must be able to push/pull, climb, stoop/crouch, crawl/kneel, twist balance, and reach occasionally during shift.
• While performing the job employee must have a keen sense of hearing, sight and depth acuity constantly during shift. Mental Requirements: To perform this position, the employee must be able to read and write English, do mathematical calculations, and have computer experience in using Word, Excel, e-mail and the internet. Must be comfortable speaking in front of groups of people in a training environment.

+ Copy/fax/scanner equipment
+ Digital Camera
+ Calculator
+ Postage Machine
+ Various Office Equipment (Laminators, sorters, etc.)
**Working Conditions:**
• Employee uses a computer for a large part of the day.
• Has some exposure to cleaning and/or other chemicals.
• Works primarily indoors, in warm and/or cold temperatures on a seasonal basis.
• Must be comfortable working in manufacturing plant environment.
