What Talent Acquisition contributes to Cardinal Health
Human Resources designs, implements and delivers human resource programs and policies, including recruitment, talent management, diversity and inclusion, compensation and benefits, among others. This function anticipates and plans for long-term human resource needs in alignment with business strategies.
Talent Acquisition attracts, identifies and acquires skilled labor to support business needs and develops strategies for growing the organization's talent pool. This family evaluates and screens talent using skills assessments, testing and reference checking, and manages internal and external job advertising and posting. This family also manages relationships with third party recruiting agencies, prospects talent at employment fairs and on campus at educational institutions, and manages new employee induction. Proactively and creatively sources, leads and screens candidates to develop pools of talent for all positions across Cardinal Health.
Responsibilities
Execute full life cycle searches for assigned regular positions or contractors to include developing the search strategy, developing job descriptions with hiring mangers, sourcing (including but not limited to proactive networking, internet searching, cold calling, resume mining, database searching, etc.), pre-screening and interviewing candidates to attract to the organization, develop and present recommendations on qualified candidates to hiring managers/internal clients, and offer design and negotiationProactively pipeline talent including designing, building and maintaining a strong and diverse network of potential candidates and utilize local and community resourcesGather competitive data, industry trends, and labor market conditions and translate these to successful search strategiesAssesses candidates through competency-based screening, ensuring only qualified candidates are referredPersuasively sell organization, role, and local area to candidatesCreate positive candidate experience through problem-resolution, immediate response to candidate's needs, and delivery of exceptional service to internal and external candidatesEnsures the maintenance of accurate and concise records and reports concerning all phases of the recruitment processResponsible for the design, execution, and implementation of onboarding process and orientationResponsible for maintaining positive relations with local colleges, coordinating, and participating of in person and virtual job fairs, and recruiting for internships programsMay assist in other duties as requestedQualifications
Bachelor’s in human resources or related field is required3+ years’ experience in related field, reuqiredBilingual Written and Verbal (English and Spanish) is requiredExperience recruiting for operations, distribution centers, or manufacturing facilities strongly preferredExcellent client relationship skills, communicates proactively and consistently with hiring managers and candidatesMS Office Intermediate Knowledge (Excel, Power Point, Teams, Outlook etc)What is expected of you and others at this level
