Description
Our client, a well-established nonprofit organization based in Greenway Plaza, Houston, is seeking a motivated and dedicated Recruiting Specialist to join their team for a long-term contract position. Responsibilities:
• Collaborate with various members of the organization to understand and address staffing requirements.
• Review and process applications, conducting comprehensive screenings to identify potential hires.
• Utilize various sourcing strategies including job boards, social media, and detail oriented networks to attract a diverse set of candidates.
• Ensure accurate and up-to-date records in our applicant tracking system, documenting candidate evaluations and requisition details.
• Engage passive candidates through platforms such as LinkedIn, using personalized outreach and networking strategies.
• Foster strong relationships with candidates, providing regular updates and acting as their main point of contact throughout the recruitment process.
• Conduct employment verifications and reference checks for selected candidates.
• Stay informed about industry trends, market dynamics, and competitor insights to guide recruitment strategies.
• Generate reports to track key metrics, identify areas for improvement, and maintain accurate recruitment data.
• Identify and propose solutions to any inefficiencies in the recruitment process.
• Develop strategies to resource hard-to-fill positions.
• Participate in university job fairs and recruiting networking events to enhance brand awareness.
• Contribute to various Human Resources projects as required.
Requirements • Minimum of 5 years of experience in the role of HR Recruiter
• Proficient in using ATS - Asynchronous Transfer Mode
• Familiarity with the use of Careerbuilder for recruitment
• Experience with CRM systems
• Proficiency in using About Time software
• Skilled in utilizing Applicant Track System for recruitment
• Experience in conducting Background Checks
• Knowledge of Benefit Functions in an HR context
• Excellent Communication skills, both written and verbal TalentMatch®
