HR & Recruiting Intern (April 2025)
Overview Responsible for assisting the Talent Acquisition team with tasks and activities throughout the hiring and onboarding lifecycle. As directed by the Talent Acquisition Manager, this position will assist with hiring efforts, launch required pre-employment paperwork and connect with onboarding employees to ensure a successful and timely start. Location Details: This is an in-office internship in Fargo, ND. The office addresss is 4850 32nd Ave S Fargo, ND 58103. This internship can expect to start part-time hours (5-10 hours per week) in April 2025 and increase hours to full-time (after semester ends) up to 40 hours a week through the summer months. This internship will end in August 2025. Responsibilities Provide support for hiring, preboarding, and onboarding processes Partner with the Talent Acquisition team and new hires to ensure data accuracy and a high-quality experience Assist in launching pre-employment screenings and assigning new hire onboarding paperwork Maintain tracking spreadsheets, iCIMS system fields, or other areas to document appropriate status and progress Assist in coordinate of travel, in partnership with the travel department, for interviews and new hires as needed Assist in completing pre-employment reference checks Assist with sending pre-employment communication to new hires and hiring managers Update job description templates inside iCIMS, adding or updating job descriptions into the profile Assist with general customer service and support questions related to recruiting Assist leadership with projects, research, reporting, data cleanup, and general administrative duties as needed Assist Talent Specialists with sourcing strategies and candidate outreach Attend career fair or hiring events on behalf of the Talent Acquisition team Other duties as assigned Qualifications Education and Work Experience Requirements: Sophomore, Junior or Senior student currently enrolled in an Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree program in Business Management, Human Resources or related field. Have a minimum GPA of 2.9 in relevant coursework Previous internship or work experience in HR or Business related field preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required: Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and web-based software Ability to multi-task Ability to handle and maintain confidential and sensitive information Self-starter with a curious mindset, capable of quickly assessing situations and people Collaborative team player with attention to detail Ability to ask open-ended questions and for follow-up details as needed Ability to learn and be coached, following process and compliance guidelines What's in it for You Weekly professional development opportunities 1:1 mentorship from experienced HR professionals Compensation of $18/hour 401(k) with company match & Employee Stock Purchase Plan (ESPP) Position may be subject to pre-employment screening, which may include background check and drug testing.
