How you’ll live your ambition:
From our offices in Genoa, as HR Planning & Operations Partner for the onboard Engine colleagues, you will play a pivotal role in designing, planning and executing our operations across our fleet. You will be responsible for implementing the suitable operations, guidelines, procedures to accompany our colleagues from onboarding, through their on-board experience, to final disembarkation.

Demonstrate your passion
You will review and monitor the safe manning of all vessels, based on minimum safe manning and company’s manning requirements as provided as well as in compliance with the agreed vessel’s budget. Plan the assignment of seafarers employed in accordance with company requirements. In particular, You’ll actively support the recruitment process by providing the expected demand in frequent intervals as well as ensuring that Seafarer Employment Agreements are issued in compliance with MLC (Maritime Labour Convention) and Flag State. Monitor performance evaluations for all seafarers employed including promotion aspects and arrange for follow-up where required; hereby actively supporting the in-house development as given by the applicable career path. You will participate in the implementation of HR specific projects, procedures and guidelines keeping the ship crew members aligned with the strategic goals of the Company.Get things right
Ensure that all Seafarers are trained and qualified in full compliance with Company’s, STCW (Standards of Training, Certification & Watchkeeping) and Flag State requirements, have passed a medical examination and obtained relevant Visa’s prior joining a vessel. Liaise with the vessel, the seafarer and/or operators to select a suitable date/port in order to conduct crew changes considering sufficient time for handing over of duties and on-board-familiarization. You will analyze trends and metrics in partnership with ashore and onboard HR colleagues to develop appropriate solutions, programs and policies. You will work closely with management and employees to improve work relationships, build engagement, and increase productivity and retention.What makes you unique
You have at least 10 years of experience in HR Planning & Operations, HR Business Partner, Crew Manager roles. Expertise related to shipping, maritime engine roles will be a significant advantage. You hold an academic background in HR, Economics, Psychology, Business, International Studies, Languages. You possess relevant interpersonal and customer service skills. Contribute with a data-driven approach and an analytical mindset. You are talented in organizing, time-management, prioritizing and administration. As a global citizen, you embrace diversity and communicate fluently in English. Any other language among French, German, Spanish is considered a plus.
