HR Services Payroll Analyst
**Position Purpose:** The payroll analyst position will be responsible for all aspects of processing payroll to ensure a timely and accurate delivery of payroll and related reporting for all Home Depot associates in the U.S., Canada, Puerto Rico, Virgin Islands, and Guam. **Key Responsibilities:** + 25% Administer a high volume weekly payroll process utilizing a computer based system + 20% Collect, analyze, update, and reconcile payroll and benefit data on a weekly basis + 15% Serve as liaison between users, vendors, and I.T. to research and resolve issues + 15% Create and implement auditing tools to ensure compliance with Federal, State, and Local authorities, and to eliminate erroneous payments + 10% Contribute to SOX audit compliance + 15% Frequently review error logs and transactions to ensure system is running as required **Direct Manager/Direct Reports:** + Position reports to the Sr. HR Services Business Analyst + No direct responsibility for supervising others **Travel Requirements:** + Typically requires overnight travel less than 10% of the time. **Physical Requirements:** + Most of the time is spent sitting in a comfortable position and there is frequent opportunity to move about. On rare occasions there may be a need to move or lift light articles. **Working Conditions:** + Located in a comfortable indoor area. Any unpleasant conditions would be infrequent and not objectionable. **Minimum Qualifications:** + Must be eighteen years of age or older. + Must be legally permitted to work in the United States. **Preferred Qualifications:** + Extensive experience in gross-to-net payroll, state and federal pay rule calculations and payroll regulations + Familiarity with Tesseract HR/Payroll System + CPP is preferrred. + Canada Payroll and Pay Rule processing is preferred + Expatriate and Foreign National payroll processing is preferred **Minimum Education:** + The knowledge, skills and abilities typically acquired through the completion of a bachelor's degree program or equivalent degree in a field of study related to the job. **Minimum Years of Work Experience:** + 3 **Competencies:** + Solid understanding of payroll principles, practices, and standards. + At least 3 years recent experience administering a complete high volume multi-state payroll process for a large company. + Strong Analytical Skills. + Strong oral and written communication skills. + Detailed oriented and strong follow up skills.
