What you'll do The HR Shared Services Specialist will work under the general supervision of the HR Shared Services Lead and will provide HR shared services support across all HR functions for Bassett Healthcare Network. They will deliver an exceptional HR experience for our caregivers and practitioners across the Bassett Healthcare Network by responding to questions that come in via various contact channels – phone, email and in person. The HR Shared Services Specialist will work in a goal and growth-driven environment, supporting needs across all facets of HR. Working collaboratively with HR team members across Bassett Healthcare Network, the HR Shared Services Specialist will also deliver on functions to achieve a well-organized Human Resources Division. This is an onsite position, requiring the employee to be onsite at a network location every day. The employee will have a primary network location but should expect to travel to additional locations within the network based on business needs. Escalates inefficient processes or concerns and employee experiences. Continuously focuses on finding new ways to improve the employee experience and speed of resolution In partnership with the HR team, works to identify and eliminate barriers to accuracy, productivity, and quality Will support all areas of HR including benefits, employee relations, retirement, compensation and Talent Acquisition/Nursing Recruitment Participates in cross-functional process improvement initiatives as required Prepares appropriate paperwork and processes for employee status changes Supports Talent Acquisition/Nursing Recruitment with completion of any network transfer processes Supports the HR team with educating on policies Supports the HR team with any special (ad hoc) projects that require additional assistance Creates, maintains and audits employee files Assist with internal and external audit requests Manages employee license notification and renewals Manages unemployment claims Prepares and reviews reports upon request Tracks HR reporting metrics, including performance appraisals, disciplinary action, orientation checklists, and new hire data Works in a fast-paced operational environment and employs rapid, accurate judgement in the face of ambiguity or broken processes Will work assigned action items in HRIS system including employee terminations and the required notifications Will support with HealthStream assignments and administration Will support employee engagement and employee recognition initiatives throughout the Network Manages confidential and sensitive employee information and adheres to strict data privacy standards Sort and distribute all incoming and outgoing HR mail Serves as back up as necessary for the HR Shared Services Assistant Performs other duties as assigned. What we need from you Education: High School or GED, required 4 year/Bachelor's Degree in related field, preferred Experience may be considered in lieu of education Experience: 2 years Human Resources experience or related administrative experience, required 2 years multifunctional role where high-touch customer service is required 2 years healthcare experience, required Skills: Attention to Detail Build Relationships Communication Customer Service Mult-Tasking Time Management Accuracy Computer Skills Maintain Files Physical Requirements: Sedentary Work - Exerting up to 10 lbs of force occasionally, and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time. Pay Range Salary is based on a variety of factors, including, but not limited to, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, training, and fair market evaluation based on industry standards. Pay Range Minimum: USD $21.11/Hr. Pay Range Maximum: USD $31.67/Hr.
