TITLE: HR Shared Services Specialist

POSTING LOCATION: Palo Alto, CA

We are hiring an experienced and detail-oriented HR Shared Services Specialist to join our team. The HR Shared Services Specialist is responsible for delivering efficient, high-quality HR support to employees across Broadcom. Our ideal candidate has strong problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills and the ability to handle confidential information with discretion. This position is expected to work onsite in our Palo Alto Headquarters full time.

Key Responsibilities:

Serve as the first HR point of contact for employees, providing timely and accurate guidance on HR policies, processes, and programs.

Manage and respond to HR inquiries submitted through our HR ticketing system and email, ensuring a positive employee experience.

Support HR operations including onboarding, benefits administration, payroll coordination, and employee lifecycle transactions.

Maintain and update employee records in HR systems, ensuring compliance with company policies and legal requirements.

Assist with HR reporting, audits, and process improvements to enhance efficiency and service quality.

Collaborate with HR business partners, Payroll, Benefits, and other HR COES teams to resolve complex employee inquiries.

Support HR projects, such as system enhancements, policy updates, and employee engagement initiatives.

Provide post-employment support and information for former Broadcom employees.

Qualifications

Education and Experience:

Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.

2+ years of experience in HR operations, shared services, or a related HR support role.

Technical Skills:

Proficiency in Experience with HR systems (Workday, SAP, or similar) and ticketing systems is a plus.

Organization and Attention to Detail: Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities with precision and meet deadlines in a fast-paced and ambiguous environment.

Confidentiality: Proven ability to handle sensitive employee data and processes with professionalism and discretion.

Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills; ability to convey information clearly to diverse internal and external audiences.

Collaboration: Adept at working cross-functionally and building relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including HR, Legal, and vendor partners.

Problem-Solving: Resourceful and proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues related to HR processes and employee transitions.

Compensation and Benefits

The annual base salary range for this position is $61,000 - $97,000.

This position is also eligible for a discretionary annual bonus in accordance with relevant plan documents, and equity in accordance with equity plan documents and equity award agreements.
