Hexcel is currently seeking a HR Specialist for our Salt Lake City, UT, USA location. This position will support the day-to-day HR activities for a site of ~1,000 employees, coordinating with HR and cross functional groups across the site.

The selected individual will be responsible for but not limited to the following obligations:

Maintaining HRIS (Workday) including inputting employee status and pay changes, setting up new employees, benefits enrollment, and generating reports.Entering payroll changes, managing employee set up and reviewing time and attendance records for bi-weekly payroll processing in time keeping system.  Assisting with planning company events and activities.  Assisting in the administration and communication of benefit programs and responding to employee questions.  Maintaining employee files for active and previous employees.Managing FMLA process by coordinating with third party administrator, answering employee questions, and communicating leave updates with supervisors.Assisting in hourly recruitment process, screening candidates, scheduling interviews, extending offers, scheduling orientation.Taking on stretch assignments to prepare for growth to an HR Generalist.

Qualifications:

High School Diploma or GED required; Bachelor’s degree from an accredited four-year college or university strongly preferred.  Human Resource and/or Payroll experience preferred.  Knowledge of current employment laws and regulations including, ADA, ADEA, FMLA, and FLSA is an advantage.Strong written and verbal communication skills. Experience with HRIS and timekeeping and attendance systems experience preferred.  Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite: PowerPoint, Outlook, Word and Excel. Ability to organize and prioritize workload; ability to meet deadlines.Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.  Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Able to present in front of groups as needed. Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.Coordinate with multiple groups across the HR team and cross functionally.
