HR Specialist
Description We are offering a short term contract employment opportunity for a Leave Specialist in SeaTac, WA. The successful candidate will be primarily be responsible for leave administration (FMLA + PFML) while supporting with other HR administrative duties. This role is based on-site and is within the public sector. Responsibilities: • Administer leave processes and handle cases efficiently • Manage, organize, and close old leave cases, ensuring all data is up-to-date • Utilize LOA software for managing leave cases • Identify active and terminated employees, keeping records accurately updated • Collaborate with other HR resources to ensure seamless operations • Utilize skills in FMLA and Washington Paid Family Medical Leave to effectively perform job responsibilities • Handle a large volume of paper files and digital records, maintaining an organized system. Requirements • Demonstrated experience in the government sector • Proficiency in FMLA (Family and Medical Leave Act) procedures and regulations • Solid understanding of Family Medical Leave protocols within a government context • Proven experience with HR Compliance in the public sector • In-depth knowledge of Workers Compensation practices and legislation • Experience managing termination processes with sensitivity and professionalism • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field, or equivalent work experience TalentMatch® Robert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
