Description We are offering a short term contract employment opportunity for an HR Specialist in the heart of CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa. As an HR Specialist, your main role will be to provide support within our HR team, including talent acquisition, employee onboarding, employee relations, benefits administration, performance management, and HR policies and compliance. Responsibilities: • Develop and implement effective recruitment strategies in collaboration with hiring managers. • Screen resumes, conduct initial candidate assessments, and coordinate and conduct interviews. • Facilitate a smooth onboarding process for new hires, including conducting orientation sessions and coordinating training programs. • Serve as a primary contact point for employees for HR-related queries and conflict resolution. • Administer employee benefits programs and provide information to employees regarding benefit options and enrollment. • Assist in the development and implementation of performance management processes and provide support for initiatives that require attention to detail. • Stay updated with labor laws and HR best practices to ensure compliance. • Update and maintain company policies and procedures, and communicate changes to employees as required. • Utilize HRIS and Microsoft Office Suite for HR administration tasks.
