Job Title: Standalone HR Specialist (Contractor) – Spain
Location: Hybrid, Madrid
Contract: 6-Month Fixed-Term Contract (Freelance/Contractor)
About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled and adaptable HR Specialist to support our growing team in Spain. This is a role requiring a hands-on HR professional who can manage all aspects of the employee lifecycle. The ideal candidate will be responsible for onboarding, recruitment, payroll, employee relations (ER), compliance, and off-boarding. You will work closely with leadership to ensure a seamless and compliant HR function in Spain.
Key Responsibilities:
Onboarding & Offboarding – Ensure smooth employee integration and exits, including contracts, documentation, and exit interviews.
Recruitment & Talent Acquisition – Manage end-to-end hiring processes, from sourcing and screening to offer management.
Payroll & Benefits Administration – Work with payroll providers to ensure accurate and timely salary processing, including taxes and social security contributions.
Employee Relations & Compliance – Act as a point of contact for HR queries, advising on labor laws, policies, and employee concerns.
HR Operations & Administration – Maintain HR records, contracts, policies, and ensure compliance with Spanish labor laws.
Requirements:
Proven experience as an HR Generalist, HR Manager, or HR Business Partner in Spain.
Strong understanding of Spanish labor laws, payroll processes, and employment regulations.
Experience in recruitment, employee relations, and HR administration.
Ability to work independently in a standalone role.
Fluent in Spanish and English.
Experience working in an international or fast-paced environment is a plus.
