As a Human Resources Specialist at Bobcat, you will play a vital role in supporting our manufacturing operations by providing comprehensive HR Specialist support to our onsite team. Working in a fast-paced environment, you will be a key point of contact for employees and managers, handling a variety of HR functions while collaborating closely with the virtual corporate HR team. This role requires a hands-on, adaptable individual with a strong understanding of HR best practices and a passion for fostering a positive employee experience.
Role & Responsibility
+ Employee Relations: Provide guidance and support to employees and managers on a wide range of employee relations issues, including performance management, disciplinary actions,1conflict resolution, and policy interpretation. Conduct thorough investigations and recommend appropriate solutions in accordance with company policies and legal requirements. Escalate complex issues to the virtual corporate Employee Relations team as needed.
+ Recruitment & Onboarding:Manage the recruitment cycle for hourly positions, including managing job fairs and extending offers. Coordinate pre-employment checks (background checks, drug screens) and ensure a smooth onboarding process for new hires (hourly and salaried).
+ HR Administration:Maintain accurate employee records in the HRIS (Human Resource Information System) including new hires, terminations, promotions, and other changes. Process HR-related paperwork, ensuring compliance with company policies and legal requirements. Assist with payroll processing by providing accurate data to the virtual corporate payroll team.
+ Performance Management:Support the performance management process by providing training and guidance to managers on performance reviews, goal setting, and development plans. Track performance review completion and ensure timely follow-up.
+ Safety: Partner with the onsite safety team to promote a safe work environment. Assist with workers' compensation claims and track safety metrics.
+ Special Projects:Participate in various HR projects as assigned, such as policy development, process improvement, and employee engagement initiatives.
+ Communication: Communicate effectively with employees, managers, and the virtual corporate HR team, fostering a collaborative and transparent work environment.
Note: This role requires a strong understanding of HR principles and practices. The level of responsibility and complexity of tasks will be commensurate with the candidate's experience and qualifications (DOE - Depending on Experience). This position works closely with a virtual corporate HR team for specialized functions like benefits administration, payroll and complex employee relations matters.
Job Requirement
+ Bachelor's degree in related field or equivalent related experience.
+ Prior experience in an HR support role or internship is preferred.
+ Basic knowledge of HR policies, procedures, and employment laws.
+ Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
+ Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
+ Proficiency in MS Office Suite and HRIS software.
+ Travel required: < 10%
