$34.870 - $43.580 - $52.290
The stated pay scale reflects the range that Sharp reasonably expects to pay for this position. The actual pay rate and pay grade for this position will be dependent on a variety of factors, including an applicant’s years of experience, unique skills and abilities, education, alignment with similar internal candidates, marketplace factors, other requirements for the position, and employer business practices.
**This is a temporary position located on-site at Sharp Grossmont Hospital.**
**Assignment will be an estimated 3-5 months with working hours 7:30am - 4pm, Monday - Friday.**
**What You Will Do**
HRTM Specialist is the first point of contact for employee and leader support via Sharp's Talent Hub. Provides consultation, education and guidance to employees and leadership regarding Human Resources services and programs. Coordinates onboarding for new hires, supports employees and leaders during the change job and termination process. Represents the Human Resources Division at system level and at entity level. Provides tactical support for employee and leader data transactions in Workday.
**Required Qualifications**
+ 2 Years Experience in human resources operations, personnel/payroll systems, or office administration
**Preferred Qualifications**
+ Associate Professional in Human Resources (aPHR) - HR Certification Institute -PREFERRED
**Other Qualification Requirements**
+ Associate’s degree; or five (5) years’ experience in Human Resources may substitute for degree – Required
+ Associate Professional in Human Resources (aPHR) - HR Certification Institute is required within 2 years of hire. Department management will track and maintain this certification.
**Essential Functions**
+ Customer ServiceServes as primary point of contact for information and employment life-cycle transactions for employees, leaders and other HRTM team members regarding Human Resources services and programs. Will provide support centrally to all locations and understands the nuances of each location.Provides excellent customer service in all interactions (written and verbally) to internal and external customers.Provides answers to employees related to general questions related to the employee’s employment and Sharp HealthCare.Exhibits generalist level of understanding of all HRTM Centers of Excellence, internal processes, programs, compliance and regulatory knowledge in order to provide first contact resolution or referral to appropriate subject matter expert.Uses critical thinking skills to prioritize situations to ensure positive and timely outcomes.Anticipates problems, displays service mindset, escalates when appropriate, and demonstrates strong prioritization, organization skills, analytical, detailed orientation when assisting customers.Provides accurate, consistent and timely responses and explanations for inquiries including but not limited to, HRTM related questions and issues on policies, processes and procedures, with the goal to solve the question or issue at the first initial contact.
+ Data IntegrityServes as the primary technical resource for Workday transactions and knowledge base content for the Talent HUB.Provides support and guidance to employees, leaders, other HRTM departments related to transactions in Workday.Processes human resources related Workday tasks and resolves data discrepancies, related to all aspects of the employee’s lifecycle from pre-hire to termination.Provides research and follow-up services for data discrepancies through collaboration with divisional departments (i.e. Payroll, HRIS, Benefits, Talent Acquisition, EOHD, Safety, Work Comp, Staffing Resource Network).Partners with HRIS team members to reconcile and audit data as appropriate.Maintains confidentiality of all employee data.Performs routine tasks required to administer and execute human resource programs including but not limited to compensation, benefits, and leave; disciplinary matters; disputes and investigations; performance and talent management; productivity, recognition, and morale; occupational health and safety; and training and development.Handles employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors, referring complex and/or sensitive matters to the appropriate staff.
+ HRTM Centers of ExcellenceProvide support to the Centers of Excellence within HRTM, including but not limited to special projects, communication, etc.Performs dependent eligibility verification for all new hires and newly eligible dependents.Educates newly eligible employees regarding SHC benefits and enrollment processes.Answers benefit questions of current employees at point of contact.Assists Corporate Benefits staff with special requests, i.e. LTD claims; open enrolment; SharpSaver, benefit communications.
+ Information ManagementAnalyzes, verifies and ensures accuracy of all employee transactional data within Workday, including editing/auditing for accuracy.Accurately documents case notes following phone call, chat, or online cases.Follows standard procedures, scripts using FAQ’s, help aides, and web portal and knowledge base system to assist with inquiries.Collaborates with appropriate resources to ensure that the customer receives the information within identified service level agreements.Facilitates and ensures human resources business processes, documentation, is submitted timely and information is relayed to the appropriate departments (e.g. accrual reinstatements, COBRA notifications, retroactive payments) as needed.Responsible for responding and/or assigning questions and inquires submitted through Ivante HelpDesk and Workday.Resolves Ivante HelpDesk/Workday cases related to Performance and Goals per agreed upon HRTM Service Level Agreements on initial contact.Prioritizes and addresses Ivante HelpDesk /Workday Help Case Management tickets appropriately and in a timely manner.
+ Onboarding and Termination AdministrationPrimary point of contact for new hire employees, potential candidates, hiring managers, and internal HRTM and business stakeholders for the onboarding process.Manages the end-to-end onboarding process, ensuring new hire employees meet Sharp and regulatory requirements prior to hire date.Administers the I9 document review and verification process and reverifications within the timeframe required by the US Citizenship and Immigration Services.Auditing data and setting up employee profiles in internal HR systems; assisting with the coordination, preparation, and distribution of employee documentation.Provide recommendations on how to improve process efficiency for Onboarding.Coordinates with management to assure the termination business process is executed appropriately and timely to provide the processing of final checks meets internal and legal requirements.Functions as a liaison with the unemployment insurance vendor to ensure timely responses for unemployment claims
+ Professional CompetencyAssociate Professional in Human Resources (aPHR) - HR Certification Institute is required within 2 years of hire. Department management will track and maintain this certification.
**Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities**
+ General knowledge and experience of all aspects of Human Resources Operations to include interaction and assistance to management and employee on topics including administration of personnel system transactions, knowledge of payroll processing, employee benefits, system-based recruitment, compensation, employee relations, and labor contracts.
+ General knowledge of current legal issues impacting the workplace and policy interpretation.
+ Strong interpersonal skills, communication skills and assisting all levels of the organization.
+ Demonstrated ability to exercise sound judgment, attention to detail and accuracy.
+ Must have ability to communicate clearly and effectively via telephone, email, and in person.
+ Ability to multi-task and prioritize.
