The global Human Resource (HR) Function provides an integrated talent management system that delivers a workforce that is Corning's competitive differentiator in the global marketplace.
HR provides service offerings that align solutions to business challenges by ensuring the programs are Effective, Efficient, Global, Scaleable, and Repeatable. Corning’s Values are operationalized by the HR Function through the facilitation of Talent Management offerings, as well as programs and processes that aid in making Corning’s Values visible.
Role Purpose:
Partner with the business/functional leader to deploy HR programs and processes to attract, develop and retain talent to strengthen the technology workforce in the region.
Key Responsibilities:
Identify and prioritize current and future talent requirements to deliver on the business/function’s objectives. Partner with talent acquisition on the interviewing and selection of candidates as per the staffing plan. Ensure a robust and wholesome on-boarding experience for the new joiners. Partner with people managers and the learning & development function to ensure upskilling of the workforce. Drive transparency by deployment of tools and platforms to ensure two-way communication with employees. Champion the organizational values by building awareness and understanding amongst employees. Drive actions to ensure a positive work environment and enable the leaders to put in place improvement actions as per the annual climate survey. Deploy talent management tools and processes to drive career progression and succession planning. Collaborate with HR colleagues across locations and work groups to drive a unified, solution centric approach to enable the business/function to be successful. Support the One Corning approach within the region to ensure a sense of belonging for employees. Partner with people managers on coaching and conflict resolution and grievance handling.

Experiences/Education:
MBA with HR specialization. At least 8 years of relevant HR experience in a multinational company. Exposure of having worked with a technology workforce. Comfortable working with global colleagues across time zones.
