HRIS Coordinator Job Details Job Location Administration - New York, NY Salary Range $60,000.00 - $70,000.00 Salary/year Description Organizational Overview: Goddard Riverside Community Center (Goddard Riverside) and the Stanley M. Isaacs Neighborhood Center (Isaacs Center) are well-established Manhattan community-based agencies that support services to approximately 30,000 New Yorkers. Purpose of Position: The HRIS Coordinator will play a critical role in managing our Human Resources Information System (HRIS) and ensuring the accuracy, efficiency, and effectiveness of our HR processes. Schedule:Monday through Friday 9:00 am to 5:00 pm Salary Range:$60,000 - $70,000 Candidates must have the required qualifications to be considered for the position. The salary offer will be based on the candidate’s number of years experience in the exact or comparable position and additional preferred qualifications will be taken into account. Roles, Responsibilities, and Essential Duties HRIS Management + Oversee the administration and maintenance of the HRIS, including system configuration, data entry, and user support. + Ensure the accuracy and integrity of employee data by regularly auditing and updating information as needed. + Make recommendations and build out any areas of the HRIS systems that are not fully utilized to enhance the effectiveness of the HRIS system and to create efficiencies for the HR and Finance Departments + Assist in troubleshooting technical issues and implementing system enhancements or updates. + Serve as interface between HR and Finance to ensure smooth processing of bi-weekly payroll. Data Reporting & Analysis + Generate regular and ad-hoc reports from the HRIS to support HR decision-making and compliance requirements. + Analyze HR and organizational data trends and metrics to identify insights and areas for improvement in HR and organizational processes and practices. + Prepare and present reports to HR leadership and other stakeholders, providing actionable recommendations based on data analysis. + Assist Chief Human Resources Officer in providing salary and benefit information to department heads for annual program budget preparation and for new program budget development. + Assist Chief Human Resources Officer in determining employee eligibility for employer contribution to 403(b) retirement plan. Process Improvement + Identify and make recommendations for opportunities to streamline HR processes and enhance the efficiency of HRIS workflows. + Develop a process manual for HRIS-related tasks, standard operating procedures (SOPs) and reporting. + Train HR and management staff on system usage and best practices and develop supplemental training materials. + Design, develop, test, and implement system modifications and customizations to offset system limitations and optimize utilization. + Collaborate with cross-functional teams on process improvements and implantation schedule to ensure alignment with organizational goals. + Using industry best practices and information systems security, recommend and assist in the creation of HR forms and processes to support onboarding and offboarding of staff. Compliance and Security + Manage user account security by developing custom user roles and responsibilities, authorizing password resets, and locking out accounts when necessary. + To ensure compliance, data integrity and security, maintain documented policies and procedures for document retention, privacy regulations and security protocols to safeguard employee information stored in HRIS. + Develop processes and contingency procedures to provide for, disaster recovery, legal compliance, HIPPA, record keeping, and labor laws. + Stay informed and regularly communicate to the HR team on relevant legislation and industry best practices related to HRIS management and data security. + Support HR audits and investigations by providing accurate and timely access to HRIS data as needed. + Participate in compliance reporting for organization (e.g., EEO and census reporting, AAP) Qualifications/Educational Requirements Required + Bachelor’s Degree + 2 years’ experience working with HRIS platforms e.g., Paycom, Workday, ADP, BambooHR and Microsoft Office Suite preferably in a non-profit or social service environment. Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities + Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets and generate meaningful insights. + Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data management and reporting. + Proficiency in HRIS software and the programming of reports + Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders. + Ability to manage multiple, complex tasks, and shift priorities under tight deadlines. + Ability to maintain confidentiality with sensitive employee information. + Excellent communication skills, written, presentation, and interpersonal collaboration effectiveness. Computer Skills Needed + Prior experience working with Applicant Tracking System (ATS), Paycom a plus. + Proficient with Microsoft Suite, especially Word, PowerPoint, and advanced knowledge of Excel including using formulas and pivot tables. Desirable Knowledge Skills and Abilities + Knowledge of HR laws, regulations, and compliance requirements. + Prior experience in migrating between HRIS systems or project managing a transition to a new HRIS system. + Prior experience providing education and training to staff on HRIS, databases or other systems.
