Black & McDonald, Kansas City is actively seeking an HSE Advisor to be responsible for support and promotion of a safe, incident free work environment. Reporting to the Regional Safety Manager, responsible to ensure compliance with Corporate and Regional Safety Policies as well as regulatory requirements at operations in Kansas.

Main Duties
Participation in development of policies and proceduresConduct and/or coordinate compliance training for all employeesAssist in the promotion of Black & McDonald’s Internal Responsibility System Promotion of safe work practices and proceduresConduct any necessary incident investigations and report to required personnel Conduct jobsite audits of safe work practices and proceduresResponsible for compliance with FMCSAAssist in management of Worker's Compensation claimsEmployment Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Safety, Environmental or related field1-3 years Safety and Health experience preferredMust have working knowledge of OSHA regulations and FMCSAAn understanding of standards in Civil Construction and Electrical Transmission and Distribution is a plus Strong interpersonal skills, displaying superior verbal and written communication skillsExcellent time management and organization skillsSkilled in problem solving and innovationMust have an aptitude for learningBlack & McDonald welcomes and encourages applications from persons with disabilities.
