Job Summary Under direct supervision, the HSE Assistant performs a variety of clerical duties and technical tasks for the Safety Department. The ideal candidate will have previous clerical support responsibilities, records maintenance, and general administrative support experience, including individual and team coordination. Successful candidates will have the ability to provide administrative support to the Safety and HR teams. Qualified candidates should have the ability to manage multiple priorities and enjoy working in a fast-paced environment with diverse groups of people. This role will e mbrace the Company’s safety culture, actively support all safety initiatives, and adhere to defined accountabilities implemented by the Corporate Safety Department. They will support, promote, and practice the Company core values, vision, and mission; follow code of ethics, workplace conduct, safety, and other established policies. The HSE Assistant p rovides administrative support for regional and Corporate Safety Department staff as well as working with Corporate HR Department. Main Responsibilities + Upload and track training requirements in various software systems while coordinating with HR department + Ensure completeness and maintenance of records, documents or reports related to safety and health program, such as FMCSA driver files and onboarding + Support record keeping for OSHA and MSHA safety and health programs + Research safety regulations and / or best practices + Assist with collection of data and preparation of reports, graphs and presentation materials to communicate key safety statistics + Accompany safety management in conducting site inspections + Review and archive dash cam footage + Assist with software and application updates for HCSS safety reporting program + Monitor telematic information for on-road and off-road vehicles + Assist in local outreach programs i.e., Be Safe Be Seen Education/Work Experience + Associates degree in related field, preferred + Valid drivers’ license with clean driving history required + Two or more years of experience working in a safety support capacity or related administrative role required + Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen and acknowledgment of the mandatory participation in ongoing random Drug & Alcohol Tests throughout your employment.
