ERM is looking for a HSE Construction Supervisor based in Queretaro, México to join our team in to support ambitious and healthy growth within our business.

Role Responsibilities

The main responsibilities for the role include (but are not limited to) the following:
Communicate with contactors and customer working onsite to establish their resources, safety work plan, monitoring and emergency response capacitiesLead, manage performance, retain, inspire and mentor personnel for overall success of the technical delivery team during overall construction.Visit or work from active project sites to assess ongoing work conditions to ensure compliance.Work with project management teams and field workers to develop and implement solutions to safety related issues on project sites.Maintaining safety related paperwork including client’s or legal requirements.Maintaining safety training certifications including training company employees on safe work practices.Disciplining employees and subcontractors who fail to comply with minimum safety standardsSkill/experience requirement
BSc/MSc in safety, engineering, or related science degree.4-5 years in similar role in Manufacturing- Construction plants (mandatory)Construction safety related diploma or certification or extensive prior experience of working in active construction site in similar or higher capacitySignificant experience in following competencies: permit to work (PTW) process ; job based risk assessmentsExperience with emergency response with managing hazard work activities during construction such as hot work, lifting and rigging, temporary electrical assets, excavation and trenching, sub surface clearance, traffic management.Experience with work supervision with heavy construction vehicles, overhead cranes (stationary / mobile), electrical sub- stations, radiation sources, hazardous chemicals Good communications skills – the ability to communicate effectively both in the written and spoken word in Spanish and English (fluency in English is mandatory)Ability to listen – the ability to listen well and take in feedback from the employee perspective without passing judgment.Good recordkeeping abilities –ability to maintain good records of all safety related activities.Be passionate about HS performance improvement and have substantial experience developing and delivering world-class EHS program solutions.Understands human factor aspects in consequence analysis for risk mitigation and incident investigations and for driving positive safety culture,Familiarity in leadership engagements and driving campaigns aiming for Incident Free/Zero Harm/ Goal Zero or similar safety aspirations in construction sites Preference will be given to candidates residing in QuerétaroWorking from Monday to Saturday- 100% on siteWho We Are:
