Hse Coordinator

Description

Our client is looking for an HSE coordinator to join their team in Leduc. Reporting to the HSE Director in Calgary, this person would be responsible for field operations, based out of the shop in Leduc. 30% in office, 70% at sites in Northern AB and BC - typically sites are 6 to 12 hours from Leduc. This role is Monday to Friday, 10 hours a day with flexibility on travel.

Day to day they would complete site visits, liase with on site safety advisors and construction managers, work on continuous improvement of existing safety program and weekly reports. Typical projects Greenfield construction projects/maintenance, facilities projects.

Ideal candidate would come in and get a feel for the organization and slowly make changes where they see fit, rather than coming in and immediately making changes to the safety program.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

MUST HAVE

- 2+ years of safety experience in a heavy industrial/oil and gas/heavy construction, field facilities projects, maintenance experience is ok.

- experience with both BC and Alberta regulations.

- NSCO

- CSTS, First Aid level A or C, fall protection, ground disturbance, Transportation Dangerous Goods certification

- Local to Edmonton/Leduc

- Previous experience with 5+ direct reports (either in another role, or as HSE)

- Safety reporting experience

- Able to pass D&A testing

- 5 years clean drivers abstract

- Tech Savvy - Google suite or MS Suite, Excel

The pay range for this position is $110000.00 - $125000.00/yr.
