UGL's Utilities business provides essential projects and services for critical infrastructure across the water and power sectors. Ranging from wastewater treatment plants to power stations, Utilities provide an end-to-end offering from concept design through to operations and maintenance.

Our offerings include design, construct, commission, operate and maintain across the following capabilities: Power generation, Transmission lines, Substations, Electrical distribution, Water and wastewater treatment plants, Water pipelines.

Reporting to the HSEQ Operations Manager the purpose of this role is focused on the provision of advice and support to the to the Utilities line of business, with a concentration on driving improvements in Health and Safety and Environmental performance by leveraging UGL’s HSEQ Strategy, HSEQ Management System, Assurance Program, and One HSE Culture Program.

About you

Qualified in HSEQ or related fieldsupported by solid experiencein a managing a HSEQ function within a major construction environment or heavy industry is required.Excellent knowledge of the relevant HSE legislation including environmental approval requirements for construction projectsDemonstrated capability in implementing HSEQ improvement programs/strategiesExperience in leading incident investigations for significant events.Can demonstrate a knowledge of various commercial agreement strategies and it the indirect relationship they have on HSEQ management.Experience in developing high performance teams involving multiple disciplinesSolid Influencing skills and the ability to achieve outcomes in an environment of managing complex stakeholder relationships, including key business partners
