Location: Newbury + *Hybrid Working
Salary: Excellent basic salary plus bonus and Vodafone benefits 
Working Hours: Full time 37.5 hours per week – Mon to Fri

The Health Safety & Environment Manager provides an exciting opportunity to join a leading team to be a key enabler in delivering the Vodafone UK H&S Vision of keeping our people safe and well and minimising the impact from our business operations on the environment. In the role you will:

 

•    Keep up to date with new legislation and maintaining a working knowledge of all the Health and Safety Executive (HSE) and Environment Agency (EA) legislation and any developments that affect Vodafone UK
•    Advise on a range of specialist areas, e.g. RF hazards, batteries, radios, fire regulations, hazardous substances, noise, safeguarding machinery and occupational diseases
•    Maintain efficient and effective interfaces with all business functions, UKHSE team, 3rd parties working on behalf of Vodafone, Customers, External Auditors
•    Maintain own capability and competence in HSE such that they can fulfil statutory obligations placed on Vodafone regarding access to competent advice
•    Prepare and maintain H&S policies, standards and guidance for Technology employees 
•    Lead internal and external H&S audits

Who you are   

 

•    Health & Safety experience gained within a corporate environment, preferably within Telco
•    Working towards or has Chartered Membership of the Institute of Occupational Health & Safety- Essential 
•    Experience in manging ISO45001 & 14001- Essential 
•    Self –driven with ability to work with the minimum of supervision
•    Able to build and maintain positive working relationships
•    Strong stakeholder experience in consulting, listening and understanding the needs of both internal and external customers.
