ATS Company: PA Solutions Requisition ID: 14294 Location: Wixom, MI, US, 48393 Date: Feb 10, 2025 HSE Specialist Job Description - HSE Specialist Accountable for tasks consistent with Company’s HSE program. Responsible for the direction and coordination of the (Engineering & Manufacturing) Health, Safety and Environmental Programs. Requires in-depth understanding of Engineering programs related to complex automation projects. Further understanding of complex Tooling system build processes and risk unique to automation. Responsibilities: + Leads and builds the safety culture at PA Solutions. + Ensure sufficient documentation exists for HSE regulatory and corporate compliance. + Ensures compliance with OSHA, IATF, Environmental Systems, CQA. + Confirms and records closure of corrective actions. + Support activities and initiatives outlined by the Joint Health and Safety Committee. + Report any accidents/incidents to HR and HSE Manager/Corporate HSE. + Audits contractors, subcontractors, and suppliers to confirm their compliance with the safety program. + Actively participates in and provides leadership to the divisions Emergency Response Team (ERT). + Maintains liaison with outside organizations, such as fire marshals/departments, and rescue teams to assure information exchange. + Provides coordination and oversight for site security, particularly related to emergency response activity. + Present HSE related training in the context of complex automation in a classroom or virtual setting Additional Information Education and Experience + Bachelor of Science Degree in Health, Safety, and Environmental discipline is required. Master’s Degree preferred. Additional related HSE training and relevant professional experience as aligned to engineering and manufacturing automation. + Three to seven years HSE working experience in an engineering and manufacturing environment. + Solid technical knowledge of regulations: OSHA and EPA and other regulatory agencies. + OSHA 10 Card or 30 Card (Outreach) - General Industry required (obtained within the last 5 years preferred). + Experience with Velocity HSE program or other incident tracking system required. + Education related to Problem Analysis and Root Cause analysis. + CPR/First Aid/AED Certification preferred. + Forklift, Aerial Lift/MEWP, and/or Overhead Crane train-the-trainer certification a plus. + Excellent oral and written communication skills. + Ability to manage multiple tasks/projects simultaneously. + Must have the ability to travel within the US & Canada.
