HSE Specialist - Fit Out (Night Shift)

Job Description:

Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented HSE Specialist - Fit Out for a night shift role to join our team! In this role you will get to ensure that contractors comply with the delivery and execution requirements of their approved  safety plan. You will also work with the other members of the Parsons safety team to ensure that our own safety plan is complied with, and that any internal policies and procedures relating to ensuring the health, safety and wellbeing of our staff, are adhered to.

What You'll Be Doing:

Provide HSE support and guidance to the construction and project team.Ensure that all construction activities are carried out in a safe manner and in adherence to the PHSMP,  Clients minimum requirements, statutory regulations and guidelines onsite.Review Contractors HSE Plan, procedures and any HSE related documents  within an agreed timeframe.Liaise with Parsons construction engineers, and Contractors HSE representatives on a daily basis for all matters relating to HSE.Attend weekly progress/HSE meetings/attended contractors toolbox talksTake part in all accident/incident/near miss investigations relating to any construction related incident and ensure timely reporting of incidents.Monitors work practices utilized by Contractors to ascertain compliance.Daily safety walk-through on site and coordinate with HSE team on the particular matters or issues for rectification.Implementation of any safety related procedures or safety awareness campaigns.Be an onsite problem solver though helpful recommendations and practical suggestionsPerform site inspections focusing on housekeeping, hygiene, fire prevention, welfare facilities, first aid provisions and/or safe working practices. These inspections can be done with or without checklists or preplanning.Ensure that all construction safety systems and equipment are in place, operational and correctly serviced.Participate in HSE awareness campaignsDaily Inspection relating to Health, Safety and Environment aspects and coordinate with the Contractor to remedy issues or non-compliance found.Conduct the Health and Safety induction training to all personnel and visitors.Maintaining a safe working condition to on-site workers.Monitor and assess any hazardous and unsafe situations and report to HSE Manager.Report and assist in the  investigation incidents, injuries and hazards and administer agreed control measures.Encourage positive and proactive behaviors. Promote and take part in Reward and Recognition Programs.

What Required Skills You'll Bring:

Must have minimum ten (10) years, and above working as HSE engineer or specialistMust have minimum bachelor’s degree and post-graduate professional experience in the field of Health and Safety.An industry recognized HSE Qualification such as NEBOSH International Certificate (or similar).Accreditations from IOSH, ISO (management systems).Must be able to demonstrate experience and capability of auditing against existing Management Systems as well as standards and regulations.Good English communication and interpersonal skills.Good IT skills, using Word, Excel and Power Bi


What Desired Skills You'll Bring:

Experience in blasting or lifting using helicopters.
