HSE Specialist

Your role and responsibilities

In this role, you will have the opportunity to contribute to improving Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) performance in your assigned area of responsibility to cultivate a high-performance culture with a strong focus on HSE. Each day, you will support the business by applying in-depth HSE knowledge and offering solutions and advice. You will also showcase your expertise by ensuring effective risk management through HSE excellence along the ABB value chain.The work model for the role is: #LI-OnsiteThis role is contributing to the Electrification Area in Apodaca. You will be mainly accountable for:•\tDeploy proactive HSE culture and drive operational ownership of ABB, Health & Safety programs through all levels of the organization.•\tDevelop metrics for analysis and improvement. Report HSE metrics in a timely manner. Analyze for trends to make further improvements to the programs.•\tProvide leadership and guidance in complying with all local HSE legal requirements.•\tDevelop and implement HSE management system for ISO 14001:2015 and 45001:2018 standards.•\tPerform HSE audits/inspections and ensure appropriate corrective actions are developed and implemented on a timely basis.•\tLead and/or participate in incident investigations and ensure appropriate root causes are identified, and corrective actions are developed/implemented.•\tInterface with MOC process for health and safety components.

Qualifications for the role

\tBachelor's Degree in industrial, sustainability or similar engineering.\t5+ years of experience in similar positions.\tExperience in injury & illness recordkeeping per OSHA.\tExperience within HSE and the manufacturing environment.\tKnowledge in auditing ISO 14001 & 45001.\tExperience in Risk Assessment process and methodology.\tExperience in Microsoft Office.\tKnowledge and experience in PASST STPS.\tKnowledge in environmental regulations.\tExperience leading work teams.\tAdvanced level of English.\tKnowledge of manufacturing machinery.
