Your role and responsibilities

The HSE (Health Safety & Environmental) Supervisor is primarily responsible is to lead the safety team and provide support to the HSE Manager to instill a safety sensitive culture and for ensuring compliance with applicable government regulations and company policies. You will also play a crucial role in implementing different safety and ergonomic programs at our Fort Smith, AR facility. The work model for the role is: Onsite. #LI-OnsiteThis role is contributing to the Motion NEMA Motors division in Fort Smith, AR. Main stakeholders are Production, Leadership, Engineering, Quality, Process, Supply Chain and others. You will be mainly accountable for: - Supervise and lead the safety team in supporting and driving behavioral change through the local implementation of site wide, facility health, safety, environmental and ergonomic initiatives. - Collaborate with safety manager, engineers, technicians, and managers to institute control and corrective measures for hazardous and potentially hazardous conditions of equipment. - Reporting HSE incidents to the management and relevant stakeholders and taking appropriate actions. - Conduct work-site analysis and safety audits to identify hazards and deviations from acceptable practices of requirements. Oversees the Safety corrective action process. - Monitor all injuries/illnesses and Workers’ Compensation Claims, and return to work program. - Facilitating, assisting, and providing guidance on incident investigations to learn better ways for mitigating risks. - Periodically audits practices and records of facility operations to ensure compliance with company programs and Federal/State/Country/ occupational safety and health regulations.Our team dynamicsYou will join a dynamic team, where you will be able to thrive.

Qualifications for the role

- High School Diploma or GED AND 9 years’ experience in safety and or manufacturing environment OR Associates degree AND 6 years’ experience in safety and or manufacturing environment OR Bachelor’s Degree AND 4 years’ experience in safety and or manufacturing environment. - Strong knowledge in OSHA, EPA & ADEQ Regulations (U.S. Federal and applicable State) - Understanding of Workers’ Compensation and Return-to-Work Programs. - An understanding of electrical safety (including NEC, NFPA 70E, OSHA, etc.) - Intermediate level of computer skills in SAP and MS Office software (i.e., Word, PowerPoint, Excel, etc.). - Ability to build relationships, speak/present to effectively in interpersonal situations and before groups of employees comprised of various levels of personnel, from senior executives to facility personnel. - Candidates must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US.Preferred Qualifications: - 3-5 years HSE leadership experience highly desired. - OSHA Authorized 30 Hour Instructor, EMT Certification, First Responder Certification, ASP or CSP designations
