**Job Description**
Responsible for advising on all aspects of health, environment, and assisting with general safety duties. Ensure practical, cost-effective measures are utilized within the workplace. Promotes the development of a positive safety culture, to ensure employees are accountable and responsible for achieving an Incident Free workplace, by performing the following duties.
**Responsibilities**
+ Develops and conducts safety, health and environmental training.
+ Performs health and safety audits and inspections.
+ Assist with the preparation of policies, standards, and documentation for health and safety issues.
+ Develops and implements HSE processes, i.e., develop, compose, review, and approve safety documentation for associated project scopes, and ensure that they meet or exceed the company’s safety requirements.
+ Proactively identify and mitigate exposures, hazards and risks that have the potential to cause injury, property damage, or environmental impacts. Assist the team in the development of procedures and/or work processes to mitigate those risks.
+ Effectively communicate and interpret applicable HSE regulations as they pertain to daily activities and projects.
+ Promotes good health, safety and environmental practices.
+ Propose, implement and monitor measures necessary to comply with mandated codes and requirements.
+ Assists and supports quality management in establishing, implementing and maintaining the quality management system.
+ Conducts incident investigations, root cause analysis, and implements preventative/corrective actions.
+ Provide ongoing field presence for face-to-face communication and promoting HSE expectations.
+ Interface with management and clients regarding HSE issues and concerns.
+ Maintain high level of confidentiality.
+ Respond to emergency situations, and administer basic first-aid when required.
+ Other related duties that are pertinent to the project’s success, may also be assigned.
+ This position has supervisory responsibilities.
**Qualifications**
+ High School Diploma or GED equivalent or ten (10) years directly related experience will be considered.
+ BA/BS college or university degree in occupational safety and health or related fields of study in occupational health, environmental or sciences; i.e., industrial hygiene, fire protection, and environmental protection; is preferred.
+ Minimum seven (7) years industrial construction experience as an HSE Supervisor or directly related role.
+ Minimum 10 years in a HSE related role in construction, oil & gas, or mining.
+ First-Aid, CPR/AED current certification
+ MSHA/Mining experience preferred.
+ Certification in HSE or Industrial Hygiene (CHST, OHST, CSP, ASP, CIH). preferred
+ Intermediate skillset with the Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
+ Effective team leadership skills
+ Well organized, and skilled at time management.
+ Driver’s License and an acceptable driving record for the past three (3) years to be eligible under company vehicle insurance policy.
+ Fire Extinguisher Inspection Certification is a plus.

Respirator use required as well as participation in lead/cadmium blood monitoring program
The employee must regularly lift, move and /or carry up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include Close vision, Distance vision, Peripheral vision, Depth perception and Ability to adjust focus. While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms. The employee is frequently required to stand; walk and climb or balance. The employee is occasionally required to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; talk or hear and taste or smell. Steel toed boots required on the job.
