BGIS, a global leader in integrated facility management services, is seeking a dynamic WHSE Advisor to join our team. In this role, you'll lead the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of our Workplace Health, Safety, and Environmental (WHSE) management systems to ensure compliance, safety, and environmental sustainability.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage WHSE processes and compliance with statutory and contractual obligations. Maintain WHS system compliance with AS/NZS 4801 and OHSAS 18001 standards. Ensure Environmental Management System compliance with AS/NZS ISO 14001. Oversee WHSE contractor management, hazard reporting, and incident management. Lead internal and external WHSE audits and provide expert guidance to contract-based compliance staff. Support contract transitions, provide WHSE training, and contribute to business growth (tenders, proposals). Contribute to weekly, monthly, and quarterly reporting to both BGIS and clients.Qualifications & Experience:
Essential:
Strong experience in an OH&S Advisor or Coordinator role. Strong knowledge of AS/NZS 4801 (Occupational Health & Safety) and ISO 14001 (Environmental Management). Experience in construction, property management, or facility management industries. Demonstrated expertise in incident investigation, permit issuing, and OH&S audits. Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and iAuditor. Able to quickly adapt and apply flexible/innovative approaches to WHSE challenges.Desirable:
ICAM Trained with experience in conducting investigations. Diploma in OH&S Management or similar qualification. OH&S auditor course and Permit Issuer Training.Why Join BGIS?
