The Human Subject Research (HSR) Education and Training Specialist II primary purpose is to design, develop, implement and facilitate education and training for all research related roles within the Clinical Trials Office and Non-Therapeutic Research Office. The role conducts the required Onboarding Sessions and Continuing education sessions in human subject's research, ensuring real time training on new/updated research policies/procedures, competencies, and quality projects. The position will work along with the HSR Education and Training Specialist Senior and HSR Education Training Specialist I to help build, design and implement the modules and training sessions in Research and is responsible for using a variety of training methods to include but not limited to; e-Learning modules, hands on on-site training in programs, on-site one on one trainings and virtual sessions on areas of need and/or interest.
Preferred Experience
Master's degree and one (1) year of relevant oncology research experience (ex. coordination, data, or regulatory) and one (1) year of experience mentoring new staff.
Extensive knowledge of or aptitude for adult learning theory and development of on-line learning processes.
Minimum Experience Required:
Bachelor's degree and three (3) years of relevant oncology research experience (coordination, data, or regulatory).
In lieu of a Bachelor's degree, an Associate's degree and five (5) years of relevant oncology research experience (coordination, data or regulatory)
OR High School Diploma/GED and seven (7) years of relevant oncology research experience (coordination, data, or regulatory) may be considered*
*** A Hillsborough Community College (HCC) Research Certificate will apply towards one (1) year of required oncology research experience***
OCN, CCRC, CCRP or equivalent required.
