Purpose of the Job
The HSSE Representative and Facility Team Member is responsible for promoting a safe, secure, and compliant environment across the company’s logistics and transportation operations. This role ensures that health, safety, security, and environmental standards are met while supporting facility management activities, including equipment maintenance, inspections, and repairs.
Job Description1. Health, Safety, Security, and Environment (HSSE):
Implement HSSE Policies: Enforce the company’s HSSE policies, procedures, and protocols to ensure a safe and compliant work environment. Risk Assessment & Incident Reporting: Conduct regular risk assessments, document potential hazards, and investigate incidents to determine root causes and corrective actions. Safety Training & Awareness: Conduct training sessions on safety and emergency protocols, including fire safety, chemical handling, equipment uses, and security awareness. Compliance: Ensure compliance with local and international HSSE regulations, standards, and company guidelines. Safety Equipment Management: Monitor and maintain safety equipment inventory (e.g., PPE, fire extinguishers) to ensure all necessary resources are available and up-to-date.2. Facility Management:
Inspection & Maintenance: Conduct routine inspections of facility infrastructure, vehicles, equipment, and safety devices to ensure operational readiness and compliance with safety standards. Repair & Upkeep Coordination: Schedule and oversee facility repairs, maintenance work, and janitorial services to ensure a clean, organized, and safe environment. Vendor Management: Coordinate with third-party vendors for facility maintenance services and ensure compliance with company standards and HSSE requirements. Emergency Preparedness: Assist in developing, implementing, and rehearsing emergency response plans to ensure readiness for crises like fires, natural disasters, or security threats.3. Reporting & Documentation:
HSSE Reports: Prepare and maintain HSSE documentation, including incident reports, inspection records, compliance reports, and training logs. Facility Management Logs: Maintain logs for facility inspections, maintenance schedules, and vendor service records to ensure efficient tracking and compliance. Job Responsibilities - Experience and Education Bachelor’s degree in occupational health & safety, Environmental Science, Facilities Management, or related field (or equivalent experience). At least 2 years in an HSSE or facility management role, preferably in the logistics or transportation industry. Safety and risk management certifications (e.g., NEBOSH, OSHA) are preferred.: Knowledge of HSSE regulations and facility management practices. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to conduct safety training and communicate protocols effectively. Familiarity with maintenance systems and facility inspection processes. Attention to detail, especially for risk assessment and documentation.
