Human Factors Scientist
**Summary:** The Health and Wellbeing Team at Meta is seeking a Human Factors Scientist to support the development of innovative health technologies. This role will work closely with cross-functional teams, including research scientists, engineers, and product managers, to design and evaluate the usability and safety of medical devices and digital health products. **Required Skills:** Human Factors Scientist Responsibilities: 1. Conduct user research and usability testing to inform the design of digital health products 2. Develop and implement human factors plans, including user needs assessments, usability testing, and risk analysis 3. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and develop user-centered products that meet various requirements 4. Analyze and interpret data from user research and usability testing, and present findings to stakeholders 5. Develop and maintain relationships with external partners, including academic institutions and research organizations 6. Stay up-to-date with the latest developments in human factors and related fields, and apply this knowledge to inform product design and development 7. Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and guidelines, including those related to human subjects research and medical device development **Minimum Qualifications:** Minimum Qualifications: 8. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, relevant technical field, or equivalent practical experience. 9. Master's degree or higher in a field such as human factors engineering, psychology, cognitive science or a related field 10. 5+ years of experience in human factors research, with a focus on health related products 11. Demonstrated understanding of human factors principles and practices, including user-centered design and usability testing 12. Proven analytical and problem-solving skills 13. Proven experience with prioritizing and working efficiently, to drive the most impactful work forwards **Preferred Qualifications:** Preferred Qualifications: 14. Ph.D. in a field such as human factors engineering, psychology, cognitive science or a related field 15.
