Boise Cascade has an exciting opening for an Administrative Technician! 

Responsibilities

The position performs a variety of accounting support responsibilities including, but not limited to:

Implements and administers the company’s human resources policies, processes, and programs in recruiting, training, compensation, EEO, and benefits. Provides information and coordinates activity related to established HR policies, processes, or regulations to employees and/or management. Reviewing timecards and payroll records for accuracy. Conducting onboarding for new associates. Assisting associates with benefits related questions Assisting associates with accessing information from our core HR system. May participate in the interview process and may recommend placement. Develops and runs complex queries, compiles data, and prepares reports/statistical analyses for one or more functional areas. Responsible for the administration of HR-related programs, such as service awards, special recognition, etc. At the business unit level, acts as a representative for the deployment of companywide programs/processes, e.g., UKG, background checks, drug screens, etc. Assists in identifying training needs, development of aids, manuals, and tests, and arranges and may conduct training sessions. Administrative duties include, but are not limited to invoice submissions, internal communications, data requests, and information distribution. Processing payables, including freight payables Admin staff backup Managing vendor marketing funds Scanning Records retention Reconciling general ledger accounts Receptionist backup Other duties as needed.

Our ideal candidate will be organized, self-starter, driven, flexible, have strong communication skills, and ability to build interdepartmental relationships. Intermediate or higher MS Excel, Outlook and Word skills are preferred. Proficient computer skills required. Must be able to pass a pre-employment background and drug test.

Qualifications 

Basic Qualifications: College Degree or equivalent work experience in related job function. Two (2) to five (5) years HR experience. Must respond actively, confidentially, and with sensitivity to the needs of all employees. Must demonstrate ability to meet deadlines, problem-solving skills; organizational awareness; strong organizational and prioritizing skills to operate in a fast-paced work environment. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Excellent interpersonal skills effective with all levels of the organization as well as external customers.

Preferred Qualifications: Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and UKG preferred. PHR/SHRM certification a plus.
