We’re seeking a skilled and compassionateHuman Resources Coordinatorto join our team at New Haven Manor, working closely with our corporate HR team to ensure smooth HR operations at the facility.
Job Summary:TheHuman Resources Coordinatorwill be responsible for managing the day-to-day HR functions at New Haven Manor, supporting staff, and ensuring compliance with corporate policies and state regulations. This role will act as the on-site HR representative, serving as a bridge between employees at the facility and the corporate HR team.
Key Responsibilities:
+ Recruitment & Onboarding:
+ Assist in sourcing, screening, and hiring qualified candidates for facility roles.
+ Track the onboarding system for new hires.
+ Follow up with employment verifications from other employers.
+ Coordinate and facilitate new hire orientation and onboarding processes.
+ Employee Relations:
+ Serve as a point of contact for employees to address workplace concerns, escalating issues to corporate HR as needed.
+ Foster a positive work environment by supporting employee engagement initiatives.
+ HR Administration:
+ Maintain and update employee records in compliance with corporate standards and applicable laws.
+ Ensure proper handling of payroll-related inquiries and liaise with the corporate payroll team.
+ Issue employment verification letters.
+ Draft paperwork pertaining to any leave of absences in a timely manner.
+ Assist with maintaining human resources information system (HRIS) records and compile reports from the database.
+ Compliance & Policy Enforcement:
+ Ensure adherence to company policies, labor laws, and state regulations related to assisted living facilities.
+ Assist in conducting workplace investigations and resolving disputes.
+ Training & Development:
+ Coordinate ongoing training programs in collaboration with the corporate HR team.
+ Track staff certifications and ensure compliance with required training deadlines.
+ Facility Support:
+ Work closely with the New Haven Manor leadership team to address HR needs and support operational goals.
+ Assist the Assistant Director of Special Projects with daily duties and projects.
+ Scanning, filing, answering phones, data entry, logging, and tracking.
+ Provide regular reports and updates to the corporate HR team.
+ Perform all other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
+ Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field (preferred).
+ 2+ years of HR experience, preferably in a healthcare or assisted living environment.
+ Knowledge of labor laws, employee relations, and HR best practices.
+ Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
+ Proficiency in HR software and Microsoft Office Suite.
+ SHRM-CP or PHR certification (a plus).
