Overview

As our People & Culture Generalist, you’ll wear many hats (and probably a few fun ones too). You’ll be a trusted partner to our associates and leaders — driving engagement, fostering belonging, and supporting the daily rhythms of an exceptional workplace.

Responsibilities

Be a culture champion — ensuring The Joseph vibe shines through every associate experience, from onboarding to anniversaries and celebrations.

Partner with department leaders on recruitment, hiring, and onboarding, ensuring a smooth and memorable start for every new team member.

Assist with employee relations, coaching leaders, and ensuring fair, respectful outcomes.

Support P&C initiatives including training, engagement events, recognition programs, and associate well-being initiatives.

Help manage HR systems, benefits administration, payroll support, and compliance.

Keep communication clear, warm, and inspiring — whether it’s policy updates or pep talks.

Be a trusted resource for associates, helping them navigate everything from PTO questions to career growth conversations.

Qualifications

2+ years of experience in Human Resources, preferrably in hospitality 

A natural people person with strong communication and problem-solving skills.

A balance of HR know-how (policies, compliance, employee relations) and people energy (connection, warmth, fun).

Passion for creating an inclusive, engaging workplace.

Comfort with HR systems, scheduling, and payroll support tools.

Someone who can laugh, lead, and lift others up.
