The Human Resources Generalist will play an integral role in all facets of “front-line” HR support at our two facilities in Rochester, NY and one facility in Syracuse, NY through the implementation of Human Resources policies and programs at a local level while working in conjunction with Corporate Human Resources.

 

Reporting to the Regional VP, Human Resources and building close partnerships at all levels, this position’s responsibilities will include implementing Human Resources programs and policies such as New Hire On-boarding, Employee Relations, Payroll Administration, and other Culture-Building activities both internally and externally.

Responsibilities

You will:

Employee Relations & CommunicationsConduct new hire orientation, manage new hire paperwork, and serve as a trusted advisor for all new hires.Partner with Regional VP, Human Resources to resolve employee relation issues; Provide coaching, counseling, and guidance to management and employees.Drive a positive employee focused culture that supports the attainment of the company's goals and promotes employee satisfaction through both local initiatives and company-wide programs through such avenues as company meetings, suggestion programs, employee satisfaction surveys, newsletters, employee focus groups, one-on-one meetings, and Intranet use.Recruiting and StaffingIdentify, in coordination with the local leadership team and Corporate Human Resources, the facility’s talent strategy and needs; Partner with Corporate Talent Acquisition team for both exempt and non-exempt staffing needs.Compensation, Payroll and BenefitsPartner with Corporate Payroll, Benefits and Human Resources teams on related issues as needed.Answer frequently asked questions from applicants and employees relative to standard policies, benefits, etc..Employment Law Compliance and Reporting Comply with all existing federal, state, and local legal and governmental reporting requirements including any related to the EEO, ADA, FMLA, ERISA, DOL, OSHA, Worker Compensation and so forth.Maintain the integrity and confidentiality of human resource files and records. Qualifications

You have:

A. / B.S. degree required.3+ years of Human Resources experience, including employee relations.Knowledge of employment laws including ADA, FLSA, FMLA.ADP knowledge ideal Bilingual Spanish and SHRM certification a plus.
