Human Resource Generalist I (Communication) - Onsite

Basic Job Functions: 

Responsible in managing and enhancing communication and engagement within the organization as well as between the organization and the public. This role involves managing clear, transparent, and timely communication, encompassing both internal and external channels. Responsibilities include creating, implementing, and overseeing content and communication platforms to ensure a consistent brand message. Be an Effective Business Partner by providing ongoing HR support as Contracted with the Business Operations. Providing Support/advice Managers and Associates on issues dealing with Employee Performance and Compensation Planning. Broker with our partners in Human Resources Specialist Roles to provide seamless Products and Services to meet Specific Business Organizational Needs.

Essential Responsibilities:

 

Being an effective Communication Specialist:  Develop, write, and edit marketing and communication materials, including email blasts, newsletters, social media content, and company reports or news. Collaborate with the corporate or global team to create and align compelling messaging. Build and maintain relationships with authorities, governments, and media contacts. Coordinate visits and programs involving external authorities, including ministers or top government officials, public figures, or media representatives. Prepare press releases, media kits, and coordinate interviews to ensure the organization's voice and information are represented accurately during company-organized events involving external stakeholders and media. Develop and implement effective internal communication strategies to promote employee engagement. Create internal newsletters, announcements, and presentations for management and associates. Organize internal events to foster a cohesive company culture and strengthen employee engagement. Manage and coordinate communication platforms such as town halls, noticeboards, and café TVs. Oversee the organization’s social media management, including content planning, posting, and engagement. Monitor social media channels for industry trends and employee feedback. Develop strategies to maintain strong employer branding in the market.

2. Being an Effective Business Partner and Providing ongoing HR support as Contracted with the Business Operations. 

3. Providing support/advice to Managers and Associates on issues dealing with Employee Performance and Compensation Planning. 

4.  Brokering with our partners in Human Resources Specialist Roles to provide seamless Products and Services to meet Specific Business /Organizational Needs. 

5. Ensure compliance with Quality, Environment, Health and Safety and Responsible Business Alliance policies and procedures that is enforced within the organization.

 

Education/Experience:

Bachelor's Degree is required, with a major in Human Resources, Communications, Public Relations, or another relevant discipline being preferred. 1 to 3 years of experience in Human Resources or proven experience as a Communication Specialist or in a similar role is preferred. Basic knowledge of the Malaysia Employment Act 1955 and Industrial Relations Act 1967 is an advantage. Experience working in a manufacturing and corporate environment is preferred.

Demonstrates analytical and presentation capabilities: data driven, able to put together and present data in a clear manner, assess and articulate risk clearly.  Good people and management skills.  Ability to adapt and agile. Demonstrates basic people management capability in terms of development, leadership, and coaching.  Ability to work cross functional and manage conflict effectively. 

 

Technical: 

Strong understanding of media relations and social media strategies. Must be detail oriented and consistently accurate. Excellent project management - Able to follow up on projects and meet deadlines.  Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills. Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.  Proven computer skills in MS Office and HRIS.
