Our 12-week paid internship program offers firsthand experience and meaningful projects that have an impact on our business. Throughout the program, you’ll have the opportunity to work alongside industry professionals receiving mentorship, professional development and networking opportunities that will expose you to various aspects of our industry.
Find your place in our Human Resources department with an internship available on our Talent Acquisition and Employee Relations team. This internship will provide you a well rounded HR experience as you’ll be working with the GFS Home Office recruiting team and the HR Generalists.
In addition to the impactful work you will complete within your department, you will:
Assist with projects tied to Gordon Food Service’s strategic initiatives.
Gain knowledge of the business, workplace etiquette, and business communication.
Work 1 on 1 with a Talent Acquisition Specialist to revamp your resume.
Work on cross functional teams to present impactful business solutions to senior leadership.
Our Human Resources department consists of Talent Acquisition, Compliance, Compensation, Benefits, HR Information Systems, Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion, and Learning and Development. These teams work together to support the business’s mission and strategy and the employees that work for the organization.
As a Human Resources intern you will learn about employment laws and how to conduct an internal investigation. You will also assist in other areas with the team reviewing resumes, conducting phone interviews, and coordinating recruitment activities.

Meeting the following qualifications to be considered for our 2025 internship program:
Currently enrolled in a university pursuing a Bachelor degree
Incoming Junior or Senior status as of May 2025 (Minimum of 56 credit hours)
Must have a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher
Must be authorized to work in the US.
