About the role

We are currently seeking an HR Manager to join our team as we enter into a transformational journey at Reworld. This role will have an opportunity to support Reworld' s South East Connecticut transfer stations, coupled with overarching facilities in MA.


This role will provide HR generalist support in the areas of employee relations, policy development and administration, performance management, staffing and training & development to the leadership teams and employees within the SeCOnn, Preston, Bristol sites along with Yarmouth, Holliston, Braintree, Lynn, Danvers transfer stations in MA. (Approximately 125 employees in total)

Location: Position would be based onsite 5 days a week out of our Bristol, CT facility.

What you will do:

Counsel facility managers on employee relation issues through the consistent and equitable application of company policies and procedures; assist in the resolution of employee complaints, grievances, etc.; conduct investigations.Manage recruitment efforts within the assigned facilities; partner with facility managers to assess workforce planning needs.  Determine recruitment strategies for open and future roles and provide support and guidance in the recruitment process; proactively identify cost effective recruitment sources and programs.  Build effective partnerships with local agencies, universities, vocational schools, etc. to source talent for open roles with a focus on improving diversity, equity and inclusion.Provide support and guidance to managers in the areas of compensation, compliance, talent development, succession planning, performance management, retention strategies, effective record-keeping and general HR related issues. Deliver corporate HR initiatives and programs effectively throughout the area.Assist in the development, implementation and communication of company policies and procedures.Create an environment of positive employee relations; balance business needs with employee needs, establish trust and credibility with employees and be seen as approachable and fair.Role model safety leadership.
 

What you'll bring:

5 + years of relevant HR experience; preferably in an industrial/manufacturing environment.Bachelor's degree is required. Business or HR Major; PHR or SPHR preferredWe seek a self-starter who has a creative approach to implementing HR practices. The successful candidate must have the demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously with minimal supervision and to independently prioritize workload effectively. The ability to effectively interact with all levels of employees is key.Excellent oral, written and interpersonal communication skillsProficient with MS Office productsStrong analytical and problem-solving abilityStrong knowledge of employment/labor law and progressive HR practicesExperience with Workday a plusKnowledge of Lean Principles a plusAbility to travel when needed.
