This announcement will be used to fill classified positions located at the Office of Information Technology Services (ITS) and the Idaho State Public Defender (SPD) office in Boise, ID. These positions will provide support for multiple agencies and will work collaboratively with the Idaho Division of Human Resources. Summary: Recognized expert in the field of Human Resources with significant influence on organization policy, program development, and success. Regularly leads projects of critical importance, often with organization-wide impact. Oversees HR operations of the team for one or more agencies. Primary HR contact for agency appointing authorities on strategic initiatives. Job Responsibilities: + Responsible for developing and executing human resource initiatives and processes in support of the agency’s strategic direction specifically in the areas of employee development, organizational design, performance management, training, talent acquisition, classification and compensation + Facilitates the development and implementation of HR policies and procedures for one or more agencies + Manages, motivates, and develops team members to create an effective work environment + Ensures operation at the expected service level in collaboration with management teams + Analyzes complex problems requiring research, communication, and guidance regarding HR best practices while utilizing and shaping HR best practices + Consults with executives on strategic planning, goals, and objectives Distinguishing Characteristics This is the sixth level in the Human Resource job family. At this level, incumbents will manage a team of human resource professionals and partner with appointing authorities to effectively implement their mission. Provide strategic approaches to human resource issues with agency wide impact. Any issues involving statewide impact or significant risk are elevated to your manager.
