Job Summary:

Serve as an HR Senior Manager and business partner to Altair’s corporate functions and select verticals. This position will also have HR oversight of Altair’s US HR operations, including compliance, recruitment & branding, DEI, total rewards, and regional & local site engagement.  

Candidate will be proactively providing consultative and operational support to management and employees on HR and talent matters in support of attracting & retaining the best talent. This role will report to Altair’s VP Human Resources and the position will be based Troy, Michigan.  


What You Will Do:

Proactively collaborates with internal customers on HR - workforce strategy, OD, and talent matters and initiatives to ensure our business and customer strategies and goals are achieved. Always aligning HR’s strategy & goals to our internal customer’s strategy and priorities. Manages and resolves complex employee relations matters. Conducts effective, thorough, and objective due diligence on employee relations matters. Responsible for oversight of “Hire-to-Retire” processes and metrics to ensure the best and brightest talent is attracted, on-boarding, total rewards, and retention. Proactively collaborates with HR VP and Country Managers, in the areas of employee relations, workforce planning, recruitment, compensation planning (merit / annual increases), performance management, people development, PIP’s, career and succession planning, turnover analysis/retention statistics, etc. Collaborates with HR teams in the design and local roll-out of key HR processes –workforce planning, recruitment & Intern program, compensation planning (merit / annual increases), performance management, training & development, and payroll administration. Responsible for US Human Resources’ operations, ensuring compliance and operational excellence, for HR processes, policies & programs, record retention, and regulatory filing and reporting. Maintains knowledge of US total rewards offerings & best practices, contemporary HR trends & practices, and current & future US legal and regulatory requirements. Develops and executes US recruiting and branding strategies in support of Altair’s customer needs; provides recommendations to HR VP and customer for recruiting and retention of talent; ensure we mitigate risk with action plans to avoid extended openings in critical positions; collaborate in leading an effective and best in class US internship program. Actively collaborating and guiding our management team on managing performance, development opportunities, and career progression matters. Ability to understanding and gauge each function’s talent succession plans and ratings & ranking. Visible HR leader, who is high-touch with our employees and keeps a good pulse on offices’ culture and employees’ engagement and sentiment. Supports HR projects focused on operational excellence and customers services, informed by the business and/or regulatory requirements. Oversight of local team and ability to inspire, coach and mentor HR professionals. 

What You Will Need:

Basics:

 Minimum 10 years professional experience within Human Resources or related Human Resource Service function. HR professional, who has served or is serving, in an HR Business Partner global and cross-regional role. Knowledge of US HR compliance requirements, regulatory requirements, recruitment & DEI best practices, and total rewards plan & administration. Background in HR competencies: recruitment, compensation planning & administration, performance management, employee relations, leadership coaching, etc.


Preferred:

Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Organizational Development, or related field. Experience working in a Global and Technology company and culture.
