About SC Johnson College of Business Human Resources
The Cornell SC Johnson College of Business Human Resources team provides a full range of consultative HR support and oversight for all employees of the college including, but not limited to, recruitment, hire, on-boarding, compensation, performance management, policy, discipline, employee relations, leaves, and off-boarding.
The Opportunity
As a member of the SC Johnson College of Business HR team, you will provide administrative, transactional and recruiting support for staff, bargaining unit employees and temporary employees.
As the HR Assistant, you will be responsible for:
Processing Workday transactions.Assisting with the recruiting and selection process, leaves administration, completion of on-boarding and exit processes.Drafting offer letters and other ad hoc correspondences.Maintaining electronic personnel files, email list serves and files on the intranet.Assisting with employee relations events as necessary.Providing administrative and project support for staff-related issues.Handling sensitive and confidential matters and information with appropriate judgment and discretion.Assisting in implementing best practices and developing resources and tools to streamline services, ensuring a high-level of customer services for our clients.Core Hours and Location
This position follows a hybrid schedule, with four days on-site at Statler Hall on Cornell’s Ithaca campus, one day remote. Standard hours are typically 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, though some evenings, weekends, and overtime may be required based on SC Johnson College of Business needs and events.
