JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY:
Provides clerical support to the Human Resources staff in any way needed to ensure that all necessary functions are completed in a timely and organized manner.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:
• Provide excellent guest service to both internal and external guests.
• Actively supports the company culture of creating a fun and entertaining experience for internal and external guests.
• Responsible for maintaining all Human Resource Department files. Handles general upkeep of all new, existing, and terminated associate files.
• Assists with processing of new hires, including fingerprinting and organizing drug testing.
• Maintains record of all license expiration dates, communicating to associates when licenses are expired.
• Assists all management and associates with any Human Resource questions.
• Performs Exit Interviews with Associates leaving the company, to ensure that all checkout procedures are complete and final paychecks are distributed.
• Updates Associates’ files to document personnel actions and to provide information for payroll and other uses.
• Examines Associates’ files to answer inquiries and provides information to authorized persons.
• Assists HR with recruiting, benefits and any other tasks that are required.
• Ensures that HR complies to Federal and NYS Law in addition to Gaming Regulations.
• Updates company job boards and communication boards.
• All other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
High School diploma or GED required. One to two years related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
LANGUAGE SKILLS:
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or associates of the organization.
