Human Resources Assistant
Job Title: HR AssistantResponsibilities + Serve as the point of contact for employee and human resources information and assistance. + Handle confidential information professionally, respecting employee privacy while maintaining company confidentiality. + Maintain internal HRIS system and other E-service systems by entering employee change information, such as new hires, changes, terminations, promotions, transfers, and address changes. + Update employee files to document personnel actions and provide information for payroll, benefit carriers, and other internal/external areas. + Assist with benefit inquiries and company HR policy questions, and help solve HR-related issues. + Support employee training, tracking, and training compliance. + Assist in the investigation of complaints brought forward by employees. + Perform new hire orientation and ensure new employees return required paperwork correctly and in a timely manner. + Enter I-9 information into the E system as required. + Assist with recruitment program initiatives, including outreach, coordinating events, and attending events as a company representative. + Coordinate special projects and events, including benefits open enrollment, recognition events, performance reviews, training, and company events. + Maintain employee personnel and medical files in accordance with company policies and government regulations. + Assist with managing all aspects of the company's infectious disease programs and policies, including vaccination policies and COVID testing administration. Essential Skills + Minimum 5 year of experience in Human Resources, Payroll, or Customer Service. + Ability to understand labor law and employment equity regulations and HR best practices. + Excellent verbal and written communication skills. + Strong organizational, record-keeping, and follow-up skills. + High level of discretion and interpersonal skills to handle sensitive and confidential personnel matters and documentation. + Proficiency in using a computer and Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.), ViewPoint Vista, and SharePoint. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $26.44 - $28.84/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
