The Entry-Level, HR Assistant provides administrative support to the Human Resources Department. An excellent candidate for this position will be heavily involved in the recruitment process, i.e. recruiting, hiring, and training new employees and employee record maintenance. Typical tasks, therefore will be associated with the Signet Health Recruitment/New Hire process:
Participating in recruitment effortsPosting job ads and organizing resumes and job applicationsScheduling job interviews and assisting in interview processCollecting/processing pre-employment informationPerform online licensure and electronic background related searchesEnsuring background and reference checks are completedPreparing new employee filesOverseeing the completion of compensation and benefit documentationAssisting with the Orientation process (setting up a designated log-in, workstation, email address, etc.)Conducting benefit enrollment processAdministering new employment assessmentsServing as a point person for all new employee questionsAdditional Record Maintenance tasks to include:
Maintains HR records such as active and terminated files; health, training, benefit files and position descriptions for day-to-day, reporting and auditing purposesUpdating and maintaining employee benefits, employment status, and similar recordsMaintaining records related to grievances, performance reviews, and disciplinary actionsPerforming file audits to ensure that all required employee documentation is collected and maintainedCompleting termination paperwork and assisting with exist interviewsDaily job duties and responsibilities of the HR Assistant include:
Answering employee questionsProviding customer service to both client (WMC) and organization corporate employeesServing as a point of contact with benefit vendors/administratorsAbility to confidently communicate and lead within a group settingProtects, understands and utilizes confidentialityBasic Schedule is 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM, Monday – Friday
Requirements/QualificationsRequirements:
Associates Degree required. Bachelor’s Degree in Human Service or related degree required1+ years of experience using an Applicant Tracking System is preferredProficiency with iCIMS APS Software a preferred.Experience working within a healthcare setting preferred. Behavioral Health a plus.Ability to multi-task and accurately report to multiple entities. Strong organizational skills and Microsoft Windows computer proficiency is a MUST.
