Compensation

The compensation target range for this role is:

$90,300 - $95,000

Job Summary

Purple is seeking an HRBP to work in partnership with leaders, key stakeholders and HR colleagues to shape, develop and deliver HR plans and solutions in line with the needs and priorities of Purple. Operating as a departmental HR expert and the face of HR to the business, the HRBP advises, guides and supports staff and managers by providing high level people management and development support across all functions of the business.

Job Description

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES 

Build relationships with and develops a deep understanding of your assigned client groups and their business operations.   

You will work with people at all levels of the organization and is the liaison between the HR department and the business. You are the face of HR.  

Partner with leadership to align HR strategy to business strategy. 

Demonstrate a hands-on approach as well as the ability to successfully monitor the "pulse" of the employees to ensure a high level of employee engagement .

Counsel with and provide guidance to managers and employees on performance related issues, including talent management, succession planning, employee development, compensation and benefits, performance improvement etc. 

Ensure that appropriate training opportunities are provided to employees to further personal, career, and organizational development.

Partner cross-functionally to assess talent needs and aligning business needs with strategic initiatives. Initiatives include employee attraction & retention, talent assessment, compensation (equity, bonus, merit), and employee development.  

Support business goals and recommend new approaches, policies and procedures to affect continual improvements in business objectives, productivity and development of HR within the company. 

Coach and advise leaders on a variety of components impacting employee experience - employee relations concerns, performance management, leaves of absence, local labor laws, global mobility and total rewards. 

Interface at all levels of the organization.

Provide HR policy guidance and interpretation. 

Work in an evolving work environment while exhibiting adaptability and flexibility in response to business priorities and initiatives. 

Performs other duties as assigned. 

 

REQUIRED SKILLS, EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE  

Excellent verbal and written communication skills. 

Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills. 

Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. 

Ability to comprehend, interpret, and apply the appropriate sections of applicable laws, guidelines, regulations, ordinances, and policies. 

Ability to acquire a thorough understanding of the organization's hierarchy, jobs, qualifications, compensation practices, and the administrative practices related to those factors. 

2 years in a similar role. 

PREFERRED SKILLS, EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE 

Bachelor's Degree in Human Resource or related field 

SHRM CP/PHR  

Working knowledge of multiple human resource disciplines, including compensation practices, organizational diagnosis, employee relations, diversity, performance management, and respective federal and state employment laws.  

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS  

Physical Activities may occasionally include:   

Remaining in a stationary position, often standing or sitting for prolonged periods.  

Adjusting or moving objects up to 15 pounds in all directions.  

Physical Activities may constantly include:  

Communicating with others to exchange information.  

Repeating motions that may include the wrists, hands and/or fingers.  

Assessing the accuracy, neatness and thoroughness of the work assigned.
