Human Resources Business Partner  

 

LOCATION: Edmonton/Camrose, AB

DEPARTMENT: Human Resources

 

We are currently seeking a Human Resources Business Partner for our Human Resources department. As part of our Human Resources team, the Business Partner’s main role is to provide Human Resource support to our Western Canada locations.

 

Responsibilities:

Provide management with support and coaching on employee related matters, including but not limited to: Tenaris Policies and procedures Leadership Compensation HR Related matters Headcount tracking Employee Relations matters: investigations, discipline, grievance handling (if applicable), conflict management, compensation, etc., etc. Respond to inquiries from employees and leadership Full Cycle Recruitment including interviewing, applicable employment testing, employment offers, onboarding Employee Engagement: liaising with site leaders to develop plans for each site to improve and support engagement Performance Management experience including development conversations, committees, and feedback Support with benefit and payroll inquiries Ensuring completion of training for minimum job requirements, on the job training, etc. Conduct investigations when employee complaints or concerns are formally inquired Assist in the preparation of complex cases such as dismissals and grievances Conduct internal investigations for cases of employee misconduct, including documenting incidents and tracking and organizing data Reporting Attendance Training tracking Current activities Other as required Work effectively in a union and non-union environment Training: Design, develop, monitor and coordinate technical and leadership training activities for our locations across Canada. Promote a continuous learning culture while creating innovative and useful programs to support the various business needs. Support other HR functions as needed.

 

Education/Experience:

A post-secondary degree in Business with a major in Human Resource and/or Industrial Relations is preferred A minimum of 5 years’ of experience in a similar role is required Experience in recruiting, employee relations, labour relations and conflict management is an asset Experience in the following industries is an asset: Oil and gas Manufacturing Unionized environment Experience in other areas of Human Resources, i.e. Recruitment, benefits, etc. is preferred

 

Skills:

Intermediate to advanced experience with Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills Team player Strong attention to details A self-starter who proactively solves problems and is self-motivated Strong organization   Excellent written and verbal communication

 

Travel

Ability to work at both Edmonton and Camrose locations on a weekly basis

Ability to travel 1 week per month to different Tenaris office/manufacturing facilities within Canada is required
