Best Care Health and Rehab is seeking a Human Resources Generalist for the Wheelersburg, OH location.
SUMMARY: Administers various human resources processes and procedures for all facility personnel; participates in developing HR goals, objectives, and systems; recommends new approaches, policies, and procedures to effect continual improvements in efficiency of department and services performed. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: An individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Other duties may be assigned. Serves as first point of contact with employees on HR-related inquiries and issues. Partners with Executive Director and leadership team to evaluate workforce needs for assigned business units. Conducts full life cycle talent acquisition functions including sourcing, screening, interviewing, and employment offers. Ensures all pre-employment processes for new hires including, but not limited to background checks, drug screens, state and federal fingerprint requirements (if applicable), and verification and documentation of education, licensure, training, and vaccination are completed prior to new hires being scheduled. Completes onboarding process with new hires and coordinates new hire orientation. Performs Family and Medical Leave administration to include responding to all requests for leave, monitoring status of employees on leave, and communicating conclusion of leave. Serves as payroll and time/attendance administrator for the facility and is the facility liaison to corporate payroll team. Updates and maintains employee data in HRIS. Serves as first point of contact for employee benefits inquires. Maintains compliance with federal and state regulations. Leads employee relations activities and HR projects. Provides support and coaching to leaders and managers to appropriately resolve employee relations issues and provides guidance and support on performance management. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: Bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred. Minimum two years’ human resources experience. Demonstrated experience using an HRIS system. Demonstrated knowledge of federal and state employment laws/regulations. Long-term care or health care experience preferred.
CERTIFICATE, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:
HR certification preferred.
