Job DescriptionThe Human Resources Business Partner reports directly to the General Manager of O-I Packaging Solutions and provides functional expertise and service to the O-IPS employees within the organization – across all departments, business units and functions. The role will partner with the Americas North and Americas Central HR Leaders to execute people related activity, plans and tactics. The HRBP will also be responsible for direct business partnership with defined groups/teams/departments.
The Human Resources Business will:
Serve as the primary HR strategic advisor to the O-I PS GM and understand business requirements to successfully design and implement HR initiatives that enable business strategy and meet financial targetsCoach, guide and educate leaders so they are fully capable and accountable to own, improve and accelerate business resultsServe as a trusted advisor and business partner to O-IPS.Provides developmental coaching for managers on employee communications, performance management, compensation programs, rewards and recognition, leadership, etc.Interprets and participates in the development of human resources processes, policies and procedures.Evaluate current HR practices and make recommendations for best in class solutions for contemporary HR issues.In partnership with Business Unit Leadership, drives the implementation, execution and continuous improvement efforts of organizational effectiveness.Streamline current HR processes between functions/ entities.Partners with the business to manage and monitor spend and employment of all contract and temporary employees.Assist and coach/enable the preparation and execution of annual talent and succession review.Provides training/support/expertise on HR processes/programs to HR, managers and all employees.Partner with COE’s and other HR entities for disability processing, relocation coordination, HR requisition and employee lifecycle system activities, maintaining employee files and performance plan tracking and record keeping (etc.).Proactively share business-specific input to the Country Group HR Leaders to ensure HR programs are feasible and can be implemented locally.
The Human Resources Business Partner should have:
The ability to collaborate with O-IPS leaders and employees to resolve employee relations issues; counsels/guides to prudent decisions, prepares/helps prepare corrective actions, facilitates hires and voluntary/involuntary terminations.Experience developing consistent recruitment processes for O-IPS in partnership with Talent Acquisition. Participates in activities which include: recruiting schedules, job fairs, job postings, information days, recruiter training.Previous experience being the first point of contact in employee related questions, concerns and leadership advisory needs.The skills to coordinate all activity related to employee engagement: to include but not limited to survey management, action planning, etc.Experience to actively supports and participates in behavioral, value and people plan development and implementation. The ability to supports the entire talent acquisition process in partnership with people managers and the talent acquisition team.The skills to maintains records.QualificationsBachelor's degree in Business Administration, HR or other relevant degree required3-6 years HR experiencePHR, SPHR preferredProficiency computer skills; including MS Office softwareAbility to work at various levels of the organization to develop and influence the cultureHighly effective communication, negotiation, and change management skillsExcellent organizational skills, presentation skills and ability to work independently and collaborativelyExceptional customer service focus including attention to producing quality resultsBroad understanding of HR including staffing, compensation, employee relations, organizational development, training, performance management and labor relationsUnderstand specific business challenges, and through partnership with the Country Group HR Leader, create strategies through relationship building and talent insights to meet those challengesAdditional InformationWhat we offer at O-I:
Salary Range: The expected salary range for this position is between $100,000 and $110,000 and includes a possible 25% quarterly incentive bonus. Actual pay will be adjusted based upon candidate experience and other job-related factors permitted by law.
