Human Resources Coordinator (18 month position)

Role Impact:

The Human Resources Coordinator will support the HR Business Partner team with the administration and coordination of activities related to Recruitment, Talent Management and Employee and Labour Relations.

 

What you will deliver:

Coordinate incoming payroll paperwork submissions for hourly employees including: new hires, hourly rate increases, promotions, terminations, leaves of absence, etc.  Provide support for salaried payroll paperwork submissions as required. Support the recruitment process, including but not limited to, generating offer letters, administering background checks, liaising with search firms, and coordinating temporary work arrangements. Under the direction of HR Leaders, assist with creating various employee letters. Take initiative to support HR leaders, follow-up on tasks, and ensure timely delivery of recruitment-related activities. Provide assistance with updating collective agreements and printing of documents. Provide and maintain courteous, professional and efficient service to internal and external clients and team members by responding to requests for information and redirecting inquiries beyond own scope of expertise in order to maintain good levels of client service. Support the annual talent cycle by coordinating talent review meetings, preparing documents, reconciling training records and action plans, etc. Collaborate on HR projects and other organizational initiatives. Coordinate and schedule meetings for the HR business partner team as needed.

What you need to succeed:

Post-secondary education in Office Administration or Human Resources Management preferred. Working towards a CHRP designation an asset Minimum 3-5 years related work experience in a Corporate Human Resources environment Previous experience in handling confidential or sensitive information Computer literate with proficient skills in Microsoft Office applications (i.e. Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Gmail Previous experience using a HRIS system preferred. Ability to flex working hours to support operations in BC, Alberta and Manitoba Strong understanding of various provincial employment and human rights legislation is essential;
